Crabageddon 2026

What’s better than getting together with a bunch of friends on scooters and riding through the forests of northern Frederick County, Maryland?

Well, getting together and eating crabs with friends, community members, and family, of course!

This is why it’s time to register for the SECOND year of Crabageddon!

This year, it’s $50 clams. What do you get for that?  Well, you get a patch, friendship, companionship, and, of course, ALL YOU CAN EAT crabs!  And whatever other food you want.

Don’t worry, we’ll have other food stuffs.  If you don’t eat crabs or fish or anything like that, we’ll have Vegan, Vegetarian, and non-fish options.  If that suits you, make sure to mark it in your registration.

Like last year, we’ll be at Cunningham Falls State Park, at the Manor Area pavilion.  Note that the link takes you to the visitor center, but the pavilion is right next to it.

If you want to camp, BOOK now. 

Otherwise, there are some Airbnbs in the area and some real shit-hole of a hotel in Thurmont.  You’re welcome to stay there.  Don’t gripe about not having a room rate, it’s not that swanky and we don’t want our names associated with it.  Otherwise, suffer in the heat with us.

Dietary Restrictions?
Yes, this is a crab feast. There will be crabs. They will be spread out on tables. They will be everywhere. There will also be shrimp. So, lots of things to be wary of if you have relevant allergies. That said, we try to plan for ALL to be able to eat. So, while this is a festivus focused on the Maryland blue crab, this field helps us plan how much of other items we should have. Vegetarian or Vegan? No problem, we got you. Really don't like fish but want to join in? Cool, we'll have some other stuff like chicken for you. Allergic to shellfish or crustaceans? You might have some issues - this may not be the right event for you unless you just want to show up for the ride!
